Careful with that chicken litter. If it's fresh it may be too hot for them. Rabbit pellets is the only manure I know of that can be put directly on with out aging it.
When I used to raise rabbits I had red wiggler worm beds under the hutches. Then I would harvest the worm castings.
This also works with caged chickens or any other fowl. :)doak

And don't forget to sell the worms to the fishermen. I live near about 8 lakes, in a couple of years it should give my grandsons a little extra money digging worms and selling the to the guys at the lake.
