They're cleanin up the hive. :)

You'll want to check/watch to see if anything unusual (like chalkbrood) but this is normal.

Hygenic behavior at work, this is normal and a good sign that your bees are keeping their house clean.

Sometimes after an inspection you may see larvae on the bottom board that were damaged from your inspection. Bees will normally push them out or fly them out.

As long as its not an obsessive amont of dead larvae, things should be good on the inside. If you are unsure, check them.

Wish I could get my kids to do this kind of behavior :) Wait--I guess that would mean a sibling being chucked out the back door. Never mind.

Haha!!

I hardly ever get to see dead bees or larvae on the ground by my hives. Birds and lizards gobble them up as soon as they fall. The critters even get some live bees, but not many. My yard is teeming with wildlife!! Even so, my hives are none the worse for the wear.

The red ants eat all the dead bees that find the ground around here. I saw a blue tail skink about 6--7 inches long staking out one of my hives but i didn't see him eat any.
