Introducing new queen

I've read that placing the queen cage near emerging brood helps acceptance.  Are there any other hints I should use?

Before we were banned from buying any new queens here in Hawaii, I just pushed the queen cage in the bottom of the hive through the entrance. Or sometimes I took out a frame, dropped the queen cage in the bottom, put back the frame. The came back in a few days to see if everything worked like it should. I never had any problems.

Have they stopped the moving of bees around Honolulu to isolate the mites?
