« on: July 02, 2007, 11:17:00 pm »

Im just worried with what chemicals they were using. Least its just corn this season, though the Farm land is just on the other side of the property. Was cool to get pictures of the Plane though

Hey Cody, some nice pictures.  Have a wonderful day, great life.  Cindi

Great pics with the new cam mate, nice and sharp!

They usually spray Corn for beetles and or fungus. Ask the farmer, he wont mind telling you.

Its just a pity bees dont feed on corn, however you might be able to swap some honey for corn!

If I was htat close to a cornfield, I know what Id be doing late at night ;)

Mick, most corn fields aren't sweet corn, usually corn to feed cattle, so its not like sweet corn, I haven't tried it, but I don't think theirs many places near me that have huge fields of sweet corn.  Oh well.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I've eaten many ears of roasted field corn and it's just as good as sweet corn. You need to pick it while the kernals are still white though. Once it starts to turn yellow the milk in it dries up and it becomes woody and tasteless.

I will second that on the field corn. It is excellent when harvested when it is young and tender. You should try it.
