Foundation Question

I'm a new beekeeper. I've noticed in magazines they are recomending the black foundation for brood chambers. Is the color black better then the white fr brood chambers?

Yes,  black foundation is excellent for egg visibility.  I would recommend it.   On the other hand,  black HSC is useless when it comes to egg visibility.  It is like looking into a black hole, you see nothing!   The black walls of the HSC don't let light through,  where as the black foundation gets white wax walls which lets light through and creates a nice contrast.

Yes, that is the benefit of the black over the white.   Do not underestimate the benefit,  especially for a newbee when trying to assess the condition of your hive.

I like the black better for stated reasons but i do notice the yellow is drawn out quicker.
