Check for a local beekeepers club near your area.  They can help you.

Sincerely,

You can contact fatbeeman on the beesource board.  He has a website also, but I don't know the address.  He doesn't use any of the chems in his hives other than FGMO, all small cell, clean wax.  Has russians and I think carni's.  I know he ships nucs and queens, and has his own foundation mill.  He may or may not have any not spoken for, but his bees seem to be in high demand and are priced accordingly.

Hey Deptford NJ!! My wife is from there!

I met a bunch of guys through the Delaware Beekeepers Association that can provide me with equipment and swarms and Nucs. I will probably never buy package bees again, knock on wood.

Our last meeting on Tuesday was a class on how to grow your own Queens.

Join the NJ version of that.

I'm afraid small cell bees are not readily available.  There are very few suppliers and they are usually booked up.  Don is one of only a few to start with and one of even fewer with a really good reputation.  There is also a supplier in Missouri.

Buy some regular packages and put them on HSC (Honey Super Cell) and in a few weeks you'll have small cell bees.  :)

Small world  :-D Deptford is crowded now  :(

Thanks for the input folks. Just gathering resources for later use. I am setting up my last hive ( 2007) with 22 frames of SC foundation ala The Michael Bush Way. Seems I really don't need a SC queen to start afterall  :)
