I need a smoker, wouldn't mind a small standard hive to start off with...
some hive tools to get started. as you all know I am knew to be keeping.
Here is what I have to offer. if any one is intrested.
I have desert Mesquite honey, and spices. I get them by the bulk.
I also Have make a salsa blend that is great. and can be used for rubs on steaks, chicken, ribs, and pork chops.
but don't stop there put it on your pizza, eggs, veggies, soups, if you make tamale's use it in the masa mix it will add a great flavor.
just 1 thing to ask your self is how hot do you like your spice's, as we have the mix if a variety, origanal, jalapeno 1-2-3 or habanero 1-2-3 higher the number the hotter.
As for the spices I do all spice's for baking, and cooking. I am currently working on a good Cajun spice blend if any one has some suggestions that would be awesome. we have an Italian spice mix also but we are currently perfecting it.

if any one has any unwanted or unused bee keeping equipment that they don't need.
They can donate it to me and I will gladly pay the shipping and even send them some of my salsa blend as a thank you in return as well?

I don't have any extra tools but I've got tons of woodenwares to trade. What exactly are you looking for?

What kind of wooden wares do you have? I am so new and I am just tyring to get started up so any thing helps give me a list of what you have please if that's okay with you.

Got my new DaDant catalog in, they have a smoker for $14.

I ask about that smoker from many ppl and they told me its a peice of junk.... I was almost going to get it but found out frome bud1 he said to me on ventrillo that if I get a smoker get the best one I can get and it not be a domed smoker and make sure its a 10" tall one with the gaurd around it so I dont burn my self with it.

I've got a dadant, not domed - probably the cheapie since it came in a starter kit. Not offering it because it's my first and only, but somewhere on beemaster I picked up the trick of drilling a pile of holes in the bottom of a (32 oz?) tomato can and dropping it in as a sleeve to keep ashes and heat from oxidizing and corroding the smoker. It doesn't look new anymore but I should get quite a few years out of it. I also bent the rim of the can so it could be pulled out for cleaning.
It works pretty well too, the only sting I took last year was on the shin when I took a frame of honey and a bee crawled up my pants.
I looked up the dadant one, the 15.00 one has the dome.
I'm surprised they even make one with no burn guard but there they are in the starter kits. mine looks like those but with the guard on it.

Yeah I sould be getting a smoker today or the next soon I am looking for the best price aswell as the best I can get. the domed is out of the question for me. I am looking for a 10" smoker with gaurd. I will try that tin can Idea about how many holes should I put into it?

I got a domed from Kelly's, no problems and smokes great :-D

I put a mess of 3/16" (probably could use 1/8" or 1/4" or around that.) I went all the way around the edge and all over the middle about a half inch apart.
