About 8 pounds of honey is eatten by bees to make 1 pound of bees wax.

Yes! That is why it is usefull to let swarm buid combs with sugar liquid.

If you give 20% sugar liquid, bees carry it to nest, they build combs quickly and when combs are finished, sugar is almost consumed.
