Title: ella ella under my umbrelaa
Post by: Mici on September 18, 2007, 09:09:07 am
 :-D
finally rain!
well at least enough rain for the umbrellas!!! jummy!!!!!!!!
you probably don't really know what i'm talkin bout huh?
MUSHROOMS!!!!!
although i don't really eat them (except for the umbrellas) i sure like to pick them
so, yesterday i went into the woods to find a good spot for setting dormouse traps and..just couldn't help myself from picking the mushrooms
the year really is abundant with umbrellas, found maybe 3-4 spots with more than 15 growing at the spot (which doesn't happen really often)

they are tough to spot in the picture but there are at least 8 in it, all though still closed.

Lucky, lucky! I sure can't wait til the rain starts here, we have had the driest summer! I just love getting up before dawn on misty mornings and heading out to the coastal redwood groves for shrooms!

ugh, ate fried umbrellas 3 nights in a row..now i'm good for a year :-D
don't wish for toooo much rain, you can read in the coffe forum (4 dead millions and millions of € damage.....)

but nevertheless, picking mushrooms is...AT LEAST addiction. with all the rain we've had yesterday mushrooms must be jumping out of the soil so...party is just getting started!!!!!

ok Dalas, you'll get em'. only that i'm not really sure what you want me to foto. to go to woods and make pictures or go on top of a hill and foto our landscape?

well the closest i got to dying, was because of a biiig stag. oh sweet jesus mary and joseph, did he scare me and my friend. we went to the woods and..you know, kept thinking for ourselves what we'd do in case we ran into a bear. and then, all of a sudden *ta-dum ta-dum ta-dum ta-dum*, urmmm we FROZE. but once we saw that deer running across the meadow we were...maybe 20% releived, we still headed back home with a "slightly" faster pace.
but we also have bears, it's not really pleasent to go to woods all by yourself, the meaningless sounds get lot of attention, i just try to whistle to myself, bear is not much of a social creature *lol* so he hides from me.
foxes are here also, bobcat is...100km to the south or to the west. wolves....don't really know.
