we're about to get another small winter storm and i still think spring is going to get here fast and the flows will be intense this year in our area.  seems like we had some winter storms in january/february of 2000 and i caught a lot of swarms and pulled a lot of honey that year.

Ya'll are getting the weather we got yesterday, it's cold today and going to be chilly Wednesday.
But Thursday it's going to start warming up and by Monday it's suppose to be 68 degrees F.
Saturday I'm going to put 1-1 sugar syrup on my hives along with protein patties.
Around the 1 week in March (weather permitting) I will switch my boxes, top on bottom, and checker board the frames.
I will make splits at that time also.
Going to check on the egg laying for I've got to start some queens.
I'm in Central Arkansas.

Like down here there almost is no winter.
Minus the dearth of nectar.
Mine have daily brought pollen, with no coaxing.
brought home our second hive yesterday. one I won in a raffle.
yep it is weak so i shall feed till Feb 30th, then they'll be on their own.
No we haven't insulated here. most days we could go shirtless.
fatten this hive.
collect a swarm or two. do a cut out. and find a bee yard. got a few in mind.
