From the Huffington Post:
Quote
Reading Rainbow started in 1983 and ran for 21 seasons. It focused on a theme from a book each episode, with the show's host LeVar Burton often going to visit someone at their workplace, in keeping with the theme. As many of the children's books involved nature in some way, the themes covered were often green. In this episode, Burton follows a beekeeper at work-- check out the awesome bee rap/montage that kicks in at the 3:30 mark.

This is a great video. I forgot about Burton pre Star Trek and his kid shows....

Terrific clip, I was also impressed to see Levar just hold the bee package; he might have needed a few takes but he didn't hesitate or even appear nervous like most people (presumably) handling bees for the first time.
be happy and make others happy.

He also played young Kunta Kinte in the "Roots" saga.

Yep that's correct! Forgot about that also.... had to watch that "mini-saga" in 10th grade in American History class. Don't think they would show that now days in school.

I love reading rainbow and now I have my kids into reading rainbow.  It just got canceled last year, he had that show for a very long time.  He was always getting his hands dirty with his adventures.  Thanks for posting this one.
To bee or not to bee that is the question I wake up to answer that every morning...
