This is the response I received from the state after I inquired who my local apiary inspector might be.  The suggestion came after thread that is currently locked down said I should ask.  Not sure what to make of the response other than I am hopeful they can find some people to fill the positions.  IF you cant read this then check Letter

The problem before was not finding people,it was not budgeted to pay them,so they were furloughed. But I think PA statute in bee law says the secretary shall appoint a chief inspector to be in charge of all apiary inspections and shall appoint such additional inspectors as necessary.
That is in 2103 of the statute:

So there's a government job out there for someone who wants no money or benefits from working.

I think money was allocated for six inspectors this year. It is not an unpaid job.
