I split my one hive last month and put the frames in a nuc (2 mixed brood, 2 honey and 1 pollen). We decided to feed the nuc as well, but each time we gave them feed they would get robbed. Any suggestions on feeding without the nuc getting robbed?

use a top feeder and reduce the entrance or install a robber screen.

What does a "robbing screen" do? How does it work?

www.bushfarms.com/beesmisc.htm#robberscreen
What it does is let the bees from your hive find their way in and out, but the robbing bees are confused and can not find their way in.
