No one believes seniors citizens
« on: August 24, 2008, 12:02:30 pm »
No one believes seniors citizens . . . Everyone thinks they are senile.

An Elderly couple was celebrating their sixtieth anniversary. The Couple had married as childhood sweethearts and had moved back to their old Neighborhood after they retired.

Holding hands they walked back to their old school.

It was not locked, so they entered, and found the old desk they'd Shared, where Ron had carved 'I love you, Sally .'

On their way back home, a bag of money fell out of an armored car, Practically landing at their feet Sally quickly picked it up, but not sure what to do with it, they took it home. There, she counted the money--fifty-thousand dollars.

Ron said, 'We've got to give it back.'

Sally said, 'Finders keepers.' She put the money back in the bag and Hid it in their attic.

The next day, two FBI men were canvassing the neighborhood looking for the money, and knocked on the door.

'Pardon me, but did either of you find a bag that fell out of an armored car yesterday?'

Sally said, 'No.'

Ron said, 'She's lying. She hid it up in the attic.'

Sally said, 'Don't believe him, he's getting senile.'

The agents turn to Ron and began to question him.

One says: 'Tell us the story from the beginning'

Ron said, 'Well, when Sally and I were walking home from school yesterday..........'

The first FBI guy turns to his partner and says, 'We're outta here.'

So True!! So True... We have so much to learn. One of the greatest men that I ever knew started his job at age 80, literally changed the world, inspired millions, traveled more than 5 men a quarter his age and died doing the job he loved at 95.. Why we put our seniors out to pasture at 65 I will never know... I think that we have just become to self centered to learn anymore. I turn 39 here pretty quick and used to think that I had a lot to say, wish I would have learned that I have a lot to hear sooner!!!

My grandfather used to say:  If you know as much at 81 as you think you do at 18 you can consider your life a howling success.

Free coffee at McDonalds?  And I thought getting old was bad enough by itself... why do we have to punish you further?   :-D

Sorry, just never been much of a fan of lukewarm coffee.

Keep serving it...

I realize they lost that case, but it was a stupid jury.  You can't go around being afraid of stupid juries.  If we all lived our lives in fear of stupid juries, we would never leave our houses, and never talk to anyone, ever, nor would we buy or sell anything, ever.

There was a case around here where they were sued by the boyfriend of a girl who was burned by a hot pickel in a cheezeburger.  His claim was that she couldn't "service him orally" for a couple of days (which happens to be illegal in this state by the way)... and you know what?  He won like $15,000... McD's solution?  They now serve cold burgers.  They are so afraid of a $15,000 stupid jury that comes around once every decade or so, that they are willing to give up hundreds of millions in sales.  People have stopped eating there because they can't get a warm meal.  I pose that the management that gives in because one dumb jury found against them for doing things right, is dumber than the jury.
