Title: Need help with some bee's here in west texas
Post by: wtx432 on September 25, 2006, 05:19:06 am
I have a friend who is a bee-keeper. He has tried to kill the bee's like twice. He knows whats he's doing... he hates to kill them though of course. He would rather save them then kill them. But to make a long story short. I have some bee's that I need removed from the corner of my house.... they live up under the house and got in through some cracks in the concrete on the corner of the house foundation.

Like I said my friend has tried to get rid of them twice, but he is sick and sadly not really able to mess with it all hardcore anymore. So, I need to know who to contact here in the Permian Basin to come remove the bee's? free of charge of course, atleast that would be ideal.

I have 4 kids, 3 of which play outside alot. They know to stay away from that part of the house.... but, still, having this many there like that is scary. My friend said he thought there was a HUGE hive there. We seen it them gather on a tree branch both times after he smoked them with chemicals trying to kill them off. And then also recently, when nobody was doing anything to them at all, they just decided to gather on the tree again one day... all night even.... then, back to the hive like the next morning or something.... I have to mow the grass and when I do, I have to go by them, it sucks.... my friend told me that is VERY dangerous, they hate things like lawn-mowers... exhaust, vibrations, noise, etc.

So, how do I find somebody in the Midland/Odessa area who can come out and take care of this? I 50 minutes North of Midessa.  These bee's could use a new home... surely there are bee-keepers out there like my friend who love the bee's and will want to help them relocate. I wish they would do it on their own, but they seem to dig their current home alot.

google: midland tx bee removal.  i got some hits with that.  also check beekeepers associations in your area.  they can probably give you info.  here is http://www.texasento.net/TXBee.htm  you'll have to figure out which one is close to you.

steel yourself for cost.  this sounds like a big job!   :(
