Ah, John, you still crack me up!! Nice pictures, by the way, smiling. have a great and most beautiful day, health. Cindi

Looks like you had lots of help extracting honey with the whole family involved. I usually end up doing everything myself (whine, whine)
Take care

Thats funny!!! My family helping out????? Harrrggghhhhh!!!
The 2 helpers were Francine and Tina...Francine works with Janelle and Tina is Francines best friend! Francine just got a hive this year from me and Tina is gonna start next spring! ( Unless they got scared by my bees!)
Janelle was up on the deck taking the pics from there...She KNOWS I have 2 hot hives this year and didnt want any part of them!
Paul didnt help this year...he's afraid of bees now.
Next year Im gonna get a bucket with a valve on the bottom for filling honey into bottles, and, also, I think I'll get one of those screen patios to keep the bees out of all the honey and stuff. This year, I was really bummed from how many bees died this time...(getting stuck in honey)...On a good note, i got about 100 lbs of honey.....And, I couldnt have done it without the help of Francine and Tina!..Without them, it would have taken me a couple days to get it all!

Thanks!!! I needed the uplift and now I can't stop smilin'. :-)

Hey JP!
I'm hoping Francine gets interested in queen stuff! That way, she can practice on my hives!
I dont think requeening could be quite as hard as actually finding the old queen for me! As a matter of fact, "Combining hives" is where I put the one hive on top of the other with newspaper....then hope for one of the queens to make it!...So far, so good!
