How are Honey Bees and Lilacs? I've already ordered a few and I'm hoping I don't regret it.

No one should ever regret lilacs  :)  I hate to admit this, but I really can't remember if the girls worked them or not....you'll enjoy them anyways, but we should make it a point next spring to check it out!

Our bees seem moderately interested in our many lilac bushes - more so in the white blossoms. This preference for white also seems to apply to butterfly bushes and crepe myrtle too.

One other observation on the lilacs: we have more and more european hornets around here every year and they have exhibited a strong attraction for the lilacs. Of even more concern is their odd habit of "girdling" many of the branches by eating away whole sections of bark. This has caused a lot of damage and even the death of several plants.
