Do hickory trees put off much pollen or nectar?
-
I’ve never heard of hickory trees or walnut being a source of nectar or pollen. I think they’re mostly wind pollinated, but I could be wrong.

they put off nuts.. 8-)

Wind pollinated, no nectar. Some years, though, they can produce honeydew, particularly the pecans.

I don't know nothing much about hickory nuts, but a little honey and some salt goes real well on roasted pea nuts and pecans. :-D :-D
