Title: Just Starting
Post by: JordanM on March 19, 2008, 06:31:59 pm
Hello,

I am not fairly new to this site but am just getting around to do this through school and homework.
I live in Middle Eastern Michigan. I am currently building my first hive in wood tech class. I enjoy hunting, fishing and traveling. I am going to start my bees on fondationless frames, have thought this through and it is more natural, cheaper and i like the benifits of small cell. Im going to buy a package of bees this spring and use the crush and strain method for my honey.

Hey Jordan!
Hello and welcome.  I'm sure you'll find this forum a great source of information. When I have a question, I often use the 'search' function before I post, since many times my question has already been asked & answered. That's a good thing when I need an immediate answer!

I also recommend you get involved with a local beekeeping club. Many clubs offer beginner classes, and nothing beats having a mentor or two. Michigan has a number of good clubs:
