Politically correct environmentalist
« on: January 17, 2009, 12:07:49 am »
I have had a sink hole develop in my upper driveway.  My sister-in-law got her car stuck in it.  I called the City and they sent out someone from the Engineers office.

Since the problem is caused by water run off from the road and the sink hole is directly over the water main fixing the majority of the problem belongs to the City.  Now I have to wait at least 2 weeks while the department heads of the Engineers, Street, Water, and Sewer department develop a plan to cure the problem.

In the course of our discussion I found out that ditch is no longer an accepted engineering term, such an edifice must now be referred to as a bio-ripple.

Anyone else have new words or descriptions for old terms?
