1st extraction complete
« on: April 17, 2005, 06:57:20 pm »
here is the 1st extraction from a Arts building, we were working off the porch roof, this hive was bomded about 2 weeks ago and they were queenless, found no eggs at all ,they were mean as heck, found 5 queen cells and alot of bee's, the hive had alot of drones to , checked the drone brood for mites and found none at all. I hived the rest of the bee's and put some frames of eggs and capped brood in the hive , hope they will make it , cant find a queen to add to them so maybe those queen cells are ok and will hatch or if they dont they can make some cell from the eggs i gave them. got to watch and see, is there something else I could do to help them make it? im feeding them also. here some pic's.

if they didnt have the queen cells , I would have just combined them with my weakest hive.
