That was very cool Schawee. Thanks for posting. Did you put them back into the same box as the first time?

No, you'll have to do better, not just match him. You may have to use a different body part. How do you feel about holding a queen catcher with your lips???
-
That's cool Schawee!

Ooooo. Totally wonderful. I love your description of what that felt like.

Great job schawee.
I saw that done once in a swarm demonstration at our local bee clubs fun day before I ever had bees and was memorized. It sealed the deal for me for wanting to become a beekeeper and will be a memory I keep forever. Your video brought back cool memories. Reckon I'll have to try it on a swarm myself sometime when I have an audience of kids watching.
Thanks for the post. .....Don

Much appreciated Schawee!

That was fun to watch Schawee and would be a great teaching video for people. It would be fun to place that queen catcher on different parts of the body and see what it looks like.

Schawee,
was there some virgin queens in that swarm they may have wanted to leave with? Or possibly multiple queens?

They may have found a new location when Schawee put them in that nuc but they just couldn't get the queen to follow.

Nice video Schawee!
Just moving handfuls of bees you can feel the heat, I can only imagine the warmth from the whole swarm on your hand.
Nice job, and thanks for sharing it with us!
