How long can you keep a queen caged that you plan on introducing into a hive? What special care needs to take place?
Thanks!

First off she does need attendants unless its for a short while. Some get stressed more than others. If no attendants, keep them in a cool dark place but still not for very long, a day or two at most.

If she's in a nuc or other set up and mated, she can be kept a lot longer than you think but the longer she is caged the more comb they will build onto the cage, thus creating quite a mess.

How long a period were you thinking of keeping her caged?
