Title: Small hive beetle and its toxicity
Post by: Mackayboi on June 01, 2013, 06:07:48 am
I am seeking further information about the toxicity the small hive beetle introduces into the hive and the end result honey.
Because these bugs not only eat the honey but also excrete into the honey.
What are your thoughts?

The toxicity isn't through a release of toxin as such - rather they defecate in the homey as they eat it which causes purification and a hideous odour and mess...
