PA farm show webcams
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:27:10 pm »
I went to the PA farm show today.
Here ia a link to a couple web cams that should be active through the week. One is the duck slide when they let the little ones out for a frolic, the other is chicken eggs hatching in the incubator.
It's not nearly as crowded watching viaa webcam! :)

That butter sculpture sure is impressive!  I wonder how many $$$ of butter that required.  Very nice work.

The fact those sculptures maintain shape at room temp suggests there isn’t a whole lot of unsaturated fats in that PA butter!

I didn’t see any bee keeping photos?

The butter is in a refrigerated case. If I remember correctly it was 1000 pound block they carved. i think Land o Lakes usually donates the butter for the sculpture. The beekeeping area was set up much better this year, but unfortunately we discovered the camera was still at home when we arrived at the farm show. There is so much stuff showcasing  PA agriculture that it would be nearly impossible to show it all.It ranges anywhere from livestock to equipment to mushrooms, fruits nuts wines, you name it.And of course the honey.

PCN covers a lot of the farms show all week:

Just a footnote:
They brag up PA on this show!!
