We are going to be painting the exterior of our house about the time that we are installing bees into our first hive. What precautions, if any, need to be taken to protect the bees? Thank you.

Paint probably won't harm them unless you're straying it right into the hive. If you're worried about it then lean a piece of plywood against the hive.
