Has anyone ever used Tyvek as a bee suit?

That would be a problem.

Do you think the bees can sting through it?  It's thin but tightly woven.

Now that's a great pic (don't show my wife).   Just keep those bees off the socks.

Work great as a bee suit, but they will melt you into the ground. If you do use them be sure to have plenty of water and/or gatoraid and drink it steadily. I always have a big styrofoam cup with a lid and straw with me in the summer, and yes you can get a drink through a bee veil using a straw.

I use to have to wear them in one of the plants I worked in, plus a respirator, fire retardent coveralls, hard hat and fire retardent hood.
Could easily loose 5 plus pounds in an eight hour shift.

those hot bees will have you steppin and a fetchin like your heads on fire and your keister is a catchin!!!

Bees will be bees and do as they please!

I started out using them, now I just keep them around for the occasional visitor.  They always worked for me, I just rip them too easily.

iddee,

Ha!  Beekeeping with penny-loafers!  Those are some laid back bees.  All you need now is a smoking jacket & a pipe.  :-D

I could go with a Tyvek jacket since they do sell them that way.  Jeans on the bottom are good enough.

They're great for Visitors and 2 or 3 Sizes larger, they're a little cooler that way.  :)
