Title: Brown Kurrajong
Post by: Wombat2 on December 18, 2013, 02:55:40 am
Our 5000 sq meter property backs onto National Park ( formally Tewantin State Forest). The Brown Kurrajong is coming into flower (Also known as Bush Christmas Tree or Snow in Summer). Does anyone know what sort of honey it produces? The lot I have just harvested was very pale and thin so I don't know if this is from the Kurrajong or just general mixed batch

Incidentally we are about 500 meters from a registered Apiary site in the forest but must not have been used for years as we haven't seen any bees in the garden for some time - one of the reasons I have started up keeping them. All my neighbours - even friends 500 meters away are saying how good it is to see bees in their gardens once again. Honey all round for Christmas presents ;)
