I don't sell honey in that quantity, but a local beekeeper near me sells 40 pound(seems this is the limit for carryon objects in airports)pails for $80.00. In larger sizes like 33 gallon or 55 gallon they ask anywhere from .65 to $1.40 a pound. Quite a range, and I am yet not sure if color determines this or whom they are dealing with at the time. Like any other agricultural enterprize prices vary greatly by region I am certain. Supply and demand, demand and supply.Generally if you sell too cheap, from my experience, the consumer might think you are offering an inferior product. So to answer your question-find out what honey retails and wholesales for in your region. Doing homework can really help when formulating a market strategy,no matter what size operation the may be. Good luck and unlike me maybe you can sell more than you give away. :)
