Winter woodshop fun : Balsa TB's ?

Thinking Balsa TB's for next hive. 1.5"x2"x24" Light, strong, easy to work. Thoughts ?

well, good strength to weight ratio. Gotta get a piece and lean on it I guess. Most places don't carry that big, gotta make a drive or order it.

Yea, the first place I checked online would be like $40 per hive. Think I can do better w/ the British lumber mafia  ;)
