Thanks!
Now I'm trying to find a whole lot of little bee-sized patio furniture for the girls to relax on after a hard day's work... :-D

Careful!!! You will spoil them and then they will want a pool. ;)

They already have one, that's why they want the furniture. :-D

If I see a bunch of little mixed drink umbrellas pitched out in front of the hives this summer, I'll know that you have gone too far!

I have 4x4's spread between some patio blocks. You can see the patio blocks without the 4x4's in my avatar. I wanted everything elevated a little because of all the skunks around here. I close off my SBB's when it starts getting chilly.

It might that they can choice some outdoor patio furniture that can make them comfortable. The patio furniture is the one who can make them happy because of the capabilities and feature of some outdoor furniture.

We have a mix - some sit on concrete stacked two high. We did build a long bench for some to sit on. The bench is nice as it can fit 3 - 4 hives next to each other and also gives us a place to lay our tools, hive top when working the hives.
We're right on the NY/NJ border - we have been using the screened bottoms pretty much all year long.

I use a tree stump thats about 2ft tall and 2, maybe 2.5 ft wide. Serves as solid base and I don't have to grind the stump. It gives kind of a natural aura to the yard. If you use a stump, make sure it is cut level.

What about 4 poles set into the ground for a better look?
This is what I have, with deck bracing running horizontally, onto which the hives are screwed.
