Its always a great hunt when you see something, sometimes anything is sufficient.
The water was very low on the first hunt, even that much lower on the second one, really hard to get around with two plump dudes in the boat. Of course Schawee is a little more plump due to the vanilla shake bonanza he had going on at Burger Delight.. :-D
If we had gotten a deer it would have been really difficult getting out but Schawee assured me we would have. :roll:
Besides if you don't take one, you don't have the wonderful chore of cleaning it as well. ;)
Gators are all tucked in their beds this time of year, besides we were breaking ice getting to our stands on the second hunt. Ain't no way gators would be out in that!
My two videos prove you don't have to take a deer to have a good hunt!

That video was a joy to watch just because of the different scenery than I am use to seeing in our area . Never hunted in a swamp area before. Its cool to watch the does when they get to boxing each other over food dominance. Maybe next time the buck will return JP. Good luck !.

Well folks my buddy Schawee had a very exciting hunt this evening but I will let him tell that tale and he will have a video to boot.
He told me tonight that the land owner has given permission for me to go back until I take one. I'm looking forward to getting back out there with Schawee in the swamp.
So be ready for part three!

Yeah, well that would make two women that done did that then Bud. Ms Annette and my sister n law! :-D
My sister n law because she thinks its cruel. We go round and round though about her meat consumption and the fact that someone out there is killing those poor cows, chickens, turkeys, you name it that she is all too happy to feed on.
Ms Anette is a vegetarian and into meditation and all about putting out good vibes and such into the universe, a touch of a tree hugger, but I love her just the same, even if she put the hex on me. First time she's done that! :idunno:

The hex is off. Just spoke to JP and we worked it out together. Gosh, with his smooth talkin he even convinced me to let him get one :-D
