Post by: Terry N on May 27, 2013, 01:30:41 pm
Hello to all....went thru my hive 2 weeks ago...little bee activity...things should be moving good by now... switched brood boxes bottom to top and left 1 super on the  bees sparatically come and go....no pollen coming in...is my hive being robbed and what to do with the rest of this year? I really don't care to requeen this year...any advice is helpful...thanks. Also how do I restart hive next year?

You are leaving out way to much info.  Is this an over wintered hive or a package or nuc?  Do you have brood?  Is there a queen?  What is going on?

As mentioned I would need more information to say.
If there is robbing you will see dead bees and the comb will be in tatters.
Check the foundations in the brood box, could be a starving situation.
No pollen coming in is a red flag something is wrong.

OK, Did you over winter in two deeps? When you did the inspection how much population did you have?
What makes you think you need to requeen? Robbing has some distinct indicators.
More information is needed.
