4 way pallet/ side load
« on: December 19, 2013, 07:44:22 pm »
I am building a bunch of pallets and I have never had my bees on them before, I want them to be side loaded on my truck so the frames are inline with the truck.  I have ordered 3 foot forks for my loader to move the pallets . I have been looking for a set of plans for this type of pallet, I have built 1 so far and I don't know if it is going to be my prototype or not.

Any of you ever come across a pallet design like this?  My main reason is so the frames don't smash back and forth when braking and moving in the truck , I think it may help keep more bees alive that way when transporting them.

Thanks
Ben

I don't know of any commercials that worry about frames banging back and forth when moving them. The bees are good at attaching the frames so they don't slide around much after they are built up.
We build ours using a standard design that will work for most tasks when pollinating.
You never know when you may want to sell off a few pallets of bees to someone.
An oddball pallet design will give you problems sooner than later. MY 2 cents
