My plans for the year 2010.
If the 2 colonies I have left survive I will change them to the spread out type. 20 frame brood chamber.
Then I will use 10 frame supers for honey supers. Next, I will make up some 8 frame boxes and take these to the yard when I get ready to harvest. Just take out the full capped frames and replace with an empty frame. These will be medium size and my back will say thank you.
I also plan on getting one or two packages with queen and new equipment for those.
I have also got to relocate my yard.
Now, has any one been doing any section honey? I also plan to do some of that along with some cut comb. I have had calls for honey in the comb.
So I will be hanging in there for now. Keeping bees is like another hobby i have gotten into in the past 3 or 4 years, It's addictive. There is no cure fore it. :roll: :shock: :)doak
