Installing a Breeder Queen?
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:35:53 pm »
How is the best way to introduce a new breeder queen to a new colony (queenright). I would guess you would remove the old queen 24 hrs or so before trying to put the breeder in. Your help is appreciated.

Michael Bush has a section on this and i think there is stuff on here, but you have the basics.  take the old queen out the day before and put the new (caged) queen in.  i have had best success when i do not release the new queen for several days.

here is a link on this

Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.
