i just got my computer back on line and getting some cutouts and swarms videos to post .this queen is one of five queens that hatched 3 weeks ago.all are laying great and had to put them in my production hives that lost queens. tiger stripe queen hatching (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70MHpOpcc_M#ws)

Was that just a extra swarm cell you cut out?
-
i took the queen out of a nuc and let them make queen cells .they made 6 and the day they were to hatch i went in and got them out.

What a beaut of a queen Schawee. Though there are no bees to compare to, based on the number of cells she spans, I'd dare say she was bigger than any queen I got in a package this spring.
Can one have queen envy? :-D
Nice job getting this on video and for sharing.
Thx,
Jay

Cool video Schawee. Glad to see youre still above the water level

dave,it wasn't long at all.i let her start to open the cap on the cell then i startedto film.it was 2 hours till she started coming out.j p, love the video.k9 the water is slowly rising from backwater from the bonntte carrie spillway, but the mississippi river is holding at 17ft.the leeves are holding and don;t see any problems with that.when the water go down the mudbugs (crawfish )will be easy picking :-D schawee
