Just curious.... How is you Summer to Fall transition going???? Here, we have dropped an average of 18 degrees daily temps in 30 days, 70 percent of my trees are shed and finally we are getting the needed rain we didn't see all Summer, but MOSTLY in massive flooding all around here.
I read an interesting article, it dealt with the sunspot activity: Now, I know (as every HAM RADIO OPERATOR - N2CIW) that the sun flare activity has an 11 year cycle of numbers of flares a day. For 5.5 years the radio spectrum improves on HIGH FRQUENCY BANDS (HF Bands) then it decends in a 5,5 year lull where communications on the are bands are very poor.
That part wasn't interesting, although it is a cool thing to realize that on certain years, you can hold long distand conversations with people around the globe even when the strength of their signal doesn't even move the meters or at super strong reception and at other times, you can't hear them at all for YEARS, literally, even with the best antennas and equipment.
What WAS interesting was that certain scientists have found that THESE 11 year cycles ALSO have a CYCLICAL pattern to them: every 280 years, solar flares PEAKS exceedingly high, causing the kind of catastaphic weather patterns around the globe we have been seeing.
In otherwords, there is a perios of about 40 years every 280 years that abnormally high solar activity reoccurs and causes massive world wide ditruction. It is the thought that we are now in year 4-10 of the bad cycle with 30 years of worsening weather ahead.
They have found such cyclical patterns in trees, ice drillings etc..
So Tsumamis, floods, earthquakes, mudslides, tornados, hurricanes and all other phenomomon have persiod in the world's long term time clock which they can occur more frequently and with greater distruction.
If these discoveries are true, we are in for a bumpy ride - most likely for the majority of our lives. I only mentions that because I think it is a good time to store up on long term food supplies, generators, water and a serious game plan for deal with mass evacuation - NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE.
I'm 100ft above sea level and 14 miles inland. A large enough tidal surge could take out ME and everything East of here. And geographically, I think every part of the coutry and world has their own worries, the Mid-West is Tornado Row, West Coast tidal and Earthquake and fire, etc..
But anyway, this time LAST OCTOBER most of the leaves were still intact, it was at least 15 degrees warmer and now I can only hope for a tolerable Winter because of fuel oil costs and the fact that I'm in and out of a truck checking boilers in 35 buildings every night no matter how nasty the weather is.
Just wondering if FALL is coming in hard and fast wherever YOU are?????
