lost my queen over the winter. so i put a new one in the hive check on them after about 3 weeks. and the bums are doing nothing and she is runing around like she is lost. what should i do fire all of them and start over. :( :( :(

If you have a brood frame from another hive toss it in. The new bees will actually look for a queen.

You may have been shipped a queen that was unmated--a rarity, but it happens. Put in a frame of mixed eggs and brood and if the bees start supercedure cells you know the problem is with the queen.
