Are they dead or alive?????

Then it's false economy  A lost hive sure costs more than the straps. just my opinion but you guys get more wind problems than here in England. The biggest problem in my area is fools who like to knock over hives for kicks. but at least the hive stays together ( they dont usually spend much time near the hive to undo the straps and putting a rock on the top just gives them ammunition).
listen to others. You do not always know as much as you think you do.

There are some folks in the world that are just too mean to justify allowing them to breathe.  I'd be tempted to get my shotgun after them!!  But, you'd have to catch them in the act.  And then, you'd get in trouble with the police.  And then, and then, and then.............

Too bad you don't know when or which hive they will strike.  You could fill the hive with exploding paint...... like some banks do with money/money bags.  After they kicked the hive over they'd be covered in paint!  It wouldn't have kept them from kicking the hive(s) over, but it should make identifying them a little easier!!
Smile!  The rest of the world will wonder what the heck you're up to!
