Nice Little Bees Had To Go, April 22, 2009

They hadn't been there very long, but the people who own the building said these bees failed to pay their rent money! Eviction served today, from wall void to a deep.

They must have been fine with the move cause they didn't put up a fight, not even one tustle!

nice looking bees there jp, you were right, that comb looked very fresh but it was alot of it!
they really wanted to build quick!

didnt want to assume but i thought it looked like my paint job, didnt see the bottom board in the photo.
if i saw that then i would have known :-D

thanks! you good on shrimp? or need a few for quesodias?
will call tomorrow after i get moving and install the batteries in the boat. i guess evening will be best to meet up but we can make arrangements tomorrow after we get moving.
who knows, you might catch another swarm before evening time :-D

We will have to meet up tomorrow for sure as I'm planning on going up to my property tomorrow night.

Will be bringing more hives with me also. Fiday morning, my plan is to head to Bud's for the big shin dig!

Great job once again. I always love looking at the comb. The color difference, they way they can build the comb so close together and still get between them, and how they use every space available.

well, this hive wound up with a nice fat and very dark queen! the bees are quite gentle and have taken to the hive very well.

heres a big thanks to jp for sending them my way. :-D

remember all, reward your mentor! i love taking jp fishing, not only do i get to do somthing for him in return for his assistance but he makes a pretty darn good deckhand! :evil:

will be working on the boat all weekend getting ready for the shrimp season opener jp, hope you are ready to do some serious shrimpin!

JP another job well done! Looking at the comb disappearing in the pics 5-4-3-2 got that little kids song in my head...9 little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off & broke its head..don't know why.. :roll:  Sure some pretty comb & bees!  J

Another great capture.  I look more forward to catching a swarm of my own someday - (not a swarm 'from' my own but any practice will do). (I got - purchased- 2 eyetalian/mutt hives and another I'm picking up Friday) I gotta look up the Florida statutes on feral bees.

Did you save the comb for the bees or did you just move them over to a new box and discard the old comb?
