Tumbleweed

We have our share of tumbleweed around here. When the wind blows, it becomes a nuisance. Here's what it looks like after a storm:

Today we cleaned up after one of those wind storms. Here are some shots of the action as we burned the tumbleweeds:

This is just part of the country life. Never had this kind of fun in the city!

David, that tumbleweed is something else!!!  I have heard about it, but never actually seen it.  Nice pictures, I like the colour of your porch by the way, very inviting looking.  Have a wonderful day, Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service

OOhhh, FIRE!!!  One of my favorite things bout living in the country!! We don't have tumbleweeds on this side of the mtns but dried blackberry vines work!  Great bonding experiences for the family...educational too for the kids.. :-D
