Title: The Best Bond
Post by: BlueBee on November 30, 2012, 01:14:45 am
Who’s your favorite Bond and which movie(s) did you like the best?

I like the James Bond series but I haven’t gone to see Skyfall.  I think Daniel Craig has put a refreshing toughness back in Bond, but time will tell how that holds up.

I saw Skyfall, interesting new chapter in Bond movies to come. Kinda like Rise of the Dark Knight introduced Cat Woman and Robin and a possible retirement of Batman?

Favorite Bond is hard to say, because each speak so well for their decade. Hard to imagine anyone else playing Bond when they did. I'll go out on the limb and say PETER SELLERS and if you don't know the connection, a good Google search does wonders :)

I grew up with the Roger Moore era and saw a few with Sean Connery.
Wasn't Sellers the Pink Panther guy?

Wow, I didn’t know there was some OTHER Casino Royale!  Circa 1967 huh?

Was it any good?

Now I have that scene playing in my mind where the French Connection tried to kill off Chief Inspector Clouseau.

Dido, I liked View to a Kill and Live and Let Die too.

Peter Sellers was MISTAKEN for bond in the original Casino Royale.  David Niven was the real Bond in that one.

My favorites in order:
Sean Connery
Pierce Brosnan
Daniel Craig
David Niven
Timothy Dalton
George Lazenby
Woody Allen (James Bond Jr.)
Roger Moore

My all time favorite is Sean Connery. I'm picking Daniel Craig as the runner up. Recently saw Skyfall, great flick & Craig epitomized what Bond should be like.

Connery still rates the highest imo, with Moore a close second.

I found Casino Royale (all varieties of it) boring as hell.

Just watched Skyfall - not bad, but not good either - indeed, I keep thinking that the whole Bond thing has run it's course and should be retired gracefully.
