Hi All,
after gluing swarm traps, how long should I wait before deploying into the field?
IOW, does the smell of the glue alter the attractiveness of the trap for the period of time its drying?
thanks

I don't wait on mine. Just stick some LGO in them and deploy them before the swarms start flying.

If using regular wood glue, I'd say about an hour. Lemon grass oil, will out do any glue smell.

What kind of glue? If it has some kind of solvent, it will be a deterrent. If it's Elmer's Carpenter glue or exterior Titebond etc. (polyvinyl acetate or aliphatic resin) then I don't think the bees will care one way or the other.
