Dexter
« on: November 23, 2008, 11:38:15 am »
For those that don't have Showtime and have to wait to watch the watered down version of Dexter on.... darn, forgot what other network started carrying Dexter..... perhaps you don't want to read this.

For those that are keeping up with Dexter,

Do you think Dexter will have to kill his new bestest friend?

Who do you think the Skinner is? Perhaps Debra's newest partner? You know how she attracts serial killers

I am pretty sure Dexter will have to "take care" of his new friend.  Miguel doesn't have a code like Dexter & isn't as controlled.  I think he is going to go on a rampage..OR is trying to get the goods on ole Dex to solve the Bay Harbor Butcher crimes. There is something not right about that cop but I don't think he is the skinner. Deb sure doesn't have good luck w men does she?  One a psycho & this one will be skinned!  I wonder if they will find him in time?  J

I finally finished watching all three seasons of Dexter, a few at a time over a few weeks period with my wife. I was afraid that Jimmy Smit was a "Jumping the Shark" leap that might show Dexter was despirate to fullfill a 3rd season, but it worked out quite good.

This of course leaves us to wonder how married life will (ok, Dexter says he is emotionless, but we know the thrill he gets when carrying out his code) and how he will enjoy being a father, not to one but three kids?

I like the interactions with his dead father, he continues to mentor Dexter in ways that may only make sense to Dexter, yet he never leads Dexter down a wrong path - only occationally having to say "I told you so!"

Let's see how long it will be before season 4, I haven't looked it up - but many shows are talking a MID SUMMER start date. That leaves a lot of new pilots on the horizon for us - hopefully there will be some winners in there like the newer shows of HBO: Life and Time of Tim and Little Brit USA.

Dexter is coming back in February  :-D Glad we don't have to wait so long.

Wonder if Debra will figure out Dexter's relation to the Ice Truck Killer  Man will she be messed up if she ever finds out that Dex is a serial killer.

Jerry:

My wife says Deb and Dexter are boyfriend and girlfriend in real life (interesting little Jerry Springer twist there) so I think she might know what he really does  of course, they are not blood relatives on the show, but that seems likely that in season 4 she might have suspicions about him. Should be interesting, glad it is coming back soon.

Most stations are doing half seasons and NOT doing a Sapranos by making us wait a year and a half between seasons. At least that way, we only have 3 month breaks between 6 or so episodes, not bad at all.

Actually they are 1/2 sister/brother on the show,Deb just doesn't know it.  Dexters Dad bopped the informant (Dexters Mom) & Dexter is the result.  That's why he took him in when they found her whacked up.  Feb?? YAYS!!! :-D :-D  I don't know what to do without my favorite serial killer on Sundays!!  I can just see Dexter giving his son a mini knife/saw set for Christmas!!  J

I think it is great when we don't have to wait so long for the show to continue. I still haven't found out for sure if "Breaking Bad" is coming back.

Someone did hint that perhaps Debra wasn't totally out of it when Dexter confronted his brother as he was trying to co-kill Deb with Dexter. Perhaps down in the subconscious somewhere she does know.

I don't think it had been going on that long. Dex was what...? Three or four when Mom died?

I found a trivia page and the answer

What is the name of Dexter's biological father? (Joseph Driscoll)

yea. Later as I was thinking about other things and watching "lost", I remembered there was an episode where Dex's bio-dad died and he had to take care of some of the stuff left behind.

I'm sorry. I think that is a place you can order different episodes, not actually watch them from there.

At the risk of suffering the wrath of everyone

I might have been wrong about the air date for the next season. The best I can find now is someone speculating that the 4th season will start in September.

Welcome to my world Jerry - lol. I understand fully. Sometime explaining yourself allows your own foot to slide further down your own throat in life, I've had those days - I think the Tasty Animal post is ebbing now - life will be fine in 2009, I think it is when the  fleet of "Intergalactic ships" leave home to arrive here on Dec. 21, 2012, it's a heck of a trip even with super light speeds. Of course, they've never really mastered the whole "STOPPING and LANDING" the ship thingy before, so what could be miraculous or just more weather baloon  wreckage!  :-*

Either way, Dexter will eventually make it back, maybe the mid season releases was just a fluke in the pan with the writer's strike and we are back to a year between shows?

Here's hoping it is a great season, it was funny to hear them say with Nancy Botwin - we'll be starting up in 9 months (obviously saying either at the birth or just after the birth of her new baby) on Weeds.

P.S. Love the Angry Mob Emoticons - lololol, peace my friend!
