Title: BOUGHT HIVES. scared that not enough honey for winter. feed question

bought 9 hives (9 frames with steel spacers)from a beekeeper . opened the top brood box and there is 30% honey drawn out.. i am thinking i should feed and after that super is full place another super on tip so there is enough honey to over winter.. am i on the right path? if so here is the feeders i bought

i had to pull two frames so it fits.. which frames should i pull? is this in the correct possession?

2 brood chambers and a honey super on top or just 2 brood boxes?  Honey in a honey super is not for winter, it's for you.   In the fall they will store up honey in the brood boxes for winter.   If that feeder is in the brood box, never split up the brood.   Put the feeder on the side, not in the middle.

 If you got 10 frame boxes use 10 frames in and two deeps brood chambers not 9.It is ok to use 9 in and honey super if it is comb (10 if it is foundation) Just my $0.02
