Title: Hello From South Puget Sound (Lakewood, WA)
Post by: aprey on January 19, 2013, 10:26:52 pm
So new, I don't even have a scrap of equipment.  Still mulling over how I want to obtain the first hive.  I am in no hurry, so a package might be the way to go.  This was reccomended as the best way to learn - watching the hive grow from little.  I am doing this for pollination purposes - so can take my time with regards to honey.

Keep your eye open.  look on Craig's list and other classifieds. The best deals always come to those that wait!  Sometimes you can find someone that wants to downsize and will sell stuff at cheaper prices.

Welcome to the forum April.  Also check to see if there are any local bee clubs.  There you can get local input and knowledge.  A fellow at my local club has been letting me use his extractor to sling my honey.  Good luck , beek is addictive.
