Oh Irwin, I was reluctant to look at the picture because I thought perhaps you would show us one of her wrist after it was hurt, not an exray, I had pictures of a horrific looking broken, looking sideways, bent, wrist, eeks.  Glad I looked at the picture.  But still, oh your poor Wife, that must have been so painful.  You must tell us the story of how that happened, pleeeeze.  I am so curious about these things, and it sounds like you have kept it a mystery.  And I don't believe for one minute, like our other forum brats are saying, that she was chasing you with a fryin' pan.  We know you, you are a good boy, smiling.  Please give her my deepest regards, and wishing her a speedy recovery.  Have that wonderful and most beautiful day, to love and live, with that greatest of health.  Cindi

Cindi she was making the bed and tripped over her dog and stuck her left hand out to break her fall and broke her wrist. This is what it looks like today.

i win!!!!   :-D

i hope she is feeling better.

that's a very common injury.  you can almost always guess it's the dog or grandkids.  in the effort not to kill the (stupid) living thing that has gotten under our feet, we go straight down on our hands and that is the resulting injury.

Oh My!  Irwin that looks very painful not to mention colorful!  My prayers for a speedy healing!  I know many of us with animals have had close calls and injuries like Kathy said  Treat her like a queen while she is recovering, keep her amused because it is very frustrating to be unable to do your daily routines!

When they do something bad its their dog, other times its OUR dog! ;)

Hope she recovers fully and quickly. Looks like she was in a lot of pain from the fall.

Irwin I tripped over my dog last week.  Thank goodness just fell flat faced into the living room scraping my arm on the wall so a pretty bruise.  She is 15, deaf & almost blind, conveniently senile so just plops anywhere now & doesn't wake up..heck hardly woke up with my falling & "muttering angrily.."  Sometimes she sleeps so hard & breathes so shallow I think she went...stops for 15-20 seconds then takes a breath.
A glow in the dark collar does sound like a good idea..she isn't any good for protection anymore!  Take care of your wife & stay OUT of her "happy pills"!!!

Irwin, I hope your wife's wrist heals well and she is feeling better soon.
Its amazing how many people trip over thier dogs isn't it?
I tripped over one of my dogs a while back and put my teeth through the flesh just below my lip.
It happened so fast that even though I put my hands out it didn't do any good except hurt one of my wrists, my face actually bounced off the wood floor.

A couple of months ago my daughter came home from school and one of the pups, still in that puppy stage jumped up and grabbed her skirt in his mouth, but the weight of him pulled her downwards and she smacked her face off of the coffee table.
Spent the rest of the day at the hospital getting her mouth stitched.
Jody, that glow in the dark collar would have been a good idea for a dog I use to have that liked to lay in various spots on the floor around my bed. He was 140lbs and in his old age behaved as you describe your dog. I would get up at night to use the bathroom and trip over him more than I didn't.

Jp its the same thing we say with kids. When they are little angels they belong to me but if they are misbehaving they belong to my husband, as in "have you seen what your kids are doing?!" and "you need to talk to your son!"
