Title: Monica's bees
Post by: hardwood on October 22, 2011, 06:45:13 pm
These bees were quite aggressive! The queen has been swimming in an alcohol bath now and a grafted queen cell will be added next Wed.

I enjoyed that video.   I like the bullet hole entrance.  (guessing there)   And good work taking care of that hot queen.

Schawee, we normally will evaluate a queen for several months before we decide if she's truly "hot" or not but the history of aggressiveness with this colony goes way back. I'm afraid she got the axe.
