2cutouts at a sugar refinery
« on: April 05, 2013, 07:14:29 pm »
did two cutouts at a sugar refinery Monday and Tuesday.they were the cutouts from hell even though they were in a church over a 100 years old on the property..the first hive was bad but the second hive made you pay for your mistakes.i will re-queen them when my queens hatch in about a week.the pic of the train was a train passing and was going slow and decided to stop and watch for about ten minutes.so the next time a train is blocking you ,you would have to ask yourself,i wonder if schawee is doing another cutout next to the tracks :-D by the way this is the darkest honey I ever saw.look and taste like molasses.

Wow!!!  That colony in the round opening looks intimidating!!!  Was that a window or ????  That other colony with the long and wide comb doesn't look like a pushover, either!!  Which one was the worst one?

Honestly, when I saw the title of the thread I though it was going to be a joke or something...ya gotta remember up here in south Alabama we don't have sugar refineries and the thought of a honey bee removal from a sugar refinery just struck me as, well...humorously ironic.  :-D

Good'un, Schawee!!! I'd say you've mended up well and back high in the saddle!!!  Now, go get you two XXL vanilla shakes and charge them to JP. ;)

Bees at a sugar refinery sounds like shooting over a baited field.
I loved the idea too.   Bet swarm traps would work well but if they are bad who wants them?
Tough looking cutouts.

I think that picture with the round bricks looked really cool...  As far as the honey i wonder if those bees were getting in to the brown sugar over there or maybe the mash...

tuff one hey. the honey looks like they never went without food. all that dry and wet sugar. Plus if it's sugar from cane, we all know what else is made from it. (hickup. here.) they just did not want you to move them from their AAA 1 location.

Awesome job Bro...those ones make you appreciate the easy ones eh?

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

I also am wondering if that dark honey was coming from the sugar refinery.

That 1/2 barrel was really cool.  I bet they used it as the from when they laid those bricks.
